Anti–ZAP-70, clone 1E7.2, is generated from the fusion of AG8.553 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a ZAP-70 peptide 282-307 conjugated to KLH.Anti–ZAP-70 is a 70-kilodalton (kd) protein kinase, a member of the Syk family of protein tyrosine kinases that is associated with the zeta chain of the CD3/TCR complex. Anti–ZAP-70 plays a crucial role in T-cell signal transduction and thymocyte development.
