Description
The CD62P antibody, clone AC1.2, is derived from the hybridization of NS-1 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells isolated from BALB/c mice immunized with activated platelets. The CD62P antibody recognizes a molecule known as platelet activation-dependent granule-external membrane (PADGEM) protein or granule membrane protein (GMP-140), which is a 140-kilodalton (kDa) single-chain polypeptide. The CD62P antigen is a member of the selectin family of adhesion molecules and mediates the adhesion of activated platelets to neutrophils and monocytes in hemostasis.
