Available protocols: Western Blotting
Specificity / Sensitivity
PARP2 (F3Z6Z) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total PARP2 protein.

Source / Purification
Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro318 of human PARP2 protein.
Background
Protein ADP-ribosylation plays critical roles in various processes, such as the DNA damage response, chromatin organization, and transcriptional regulation, and is catalyzed by the poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) family of proteins (1-3). Namely, PARP1, PARP2, and PARP3 play important roles in the repair of DNA strand breaks (4,5). Growing evidence has shown that PARP2 plays diverse regulatory roles in processes that include genomic stability and cell cycle regulation (6). More specifically, PARP2 has also been shown to contribute to heterochromatin reorganization in endodermal differentiation (7), and loss of PARP2 in mouse erythroid progenitors leads to cell cycle arrest at the G2/M transition (8).
